Howdy...
Its only a few weeks away now to the annual" Christmas in July vintage vans" gathering at Murrurundi C.V.Park NSW- Top of the Hunter Valley.
We have been gathering here for the past 5 or 6 years . Usually between 20 and 30 old vans attend. The dates for this years event are from Wednesday July 5th to Monday 10th .. or longer if you wish to stay on and enjoy all that Murrurundi and the surrounding countryside has to offer.
Most of the van owners decorate thier vans with Christmas lights and the park really looks good at night.
Weusually have some form of entertainment on the saturday evening in and around the camp kitchen . This is usually organised by John and Pam Daniels... From memory i think John and Pam mentioned that this year we have a Female Guitarist to get us singing along.
Possibly moving the start time from 7 or 8 oclock at night to a mid arvo show .... We are fortunate to be allowed a campfire next to the camp kitchen to keep us warm ... there has been a few sub zero nights so far this winter .. and it can be brisk. So make sure you pack plenty of warmies.
The last time i spoke to Doug the manager there was a couple of powered sites left and plenty of unpowered sites.
