The work is looking good reddo.
Wouldnt worry too much about the colour scheme, as my dear old dad use to say "you can always change it with another coat of paint".

I like the blue. Depending on what you do with curtains and trimmings, it will look really good

Murrurundi that`s what I see
Reddo and his Supalite parked next to me.
Along with his EH panno
his beer and his flanno
Standing out like a beakon
The Supalite Arch Deakin
That will be Reddo the Master of ply
Standing by the fire in sunny Murrurundi. :D :D :D :D :D

A staff of 25...All terrified of the cranky boss with the stockwhip .
They dont even ask for toilet breaks
yet ... here we are .. the manager has time doodle on the computer and bash out poetry.
Well.... sorta like poetry :?:
No wonder they call the place..... "Strugglebrook"

Ok folks .. the blue stays as is.

Good to hear Reddo that the blue is staying. I remember you giving me some advice when I did the Capricorn that I should approach "the caravan resto by being "sympathetic" to the era in which it was made, but remember that it is not a lounge room in your house...so be "adventurous" with colour choices and combinations." (Or words to that effect). :)

I think the thing in which so many people admire is your energy to tackle the job, willingness not to "store" your van, but actually get out and use it; and in turn this empowers others when you post such detailed descriptions of the "restos". I love the blue (Unless you change it...then it is like an ex-girlfriend...we will all hate it  )

Hello ...

Just to show i havent been bludging ... welllllll... OK ... i have been messing with motorbikes and running away to rallies a fair bit ....but some progress has been made...

Finished painting the inside on left side including the wardrobe etc....
Image

Just gotta paint the door and re-hang it.. its in pretty good condition and i was considering just refitting it without painting it... but... thats cheating .. so will do the right thing.

Managed to straighten up the top cupboards above the sink on the right side.
Image

and paint them....

Then worked my way down towards what i call the disaster zone... :(
On the way towards working on the cupboards below the sink i got to thinking about a shelf to hold "Long things "and " loose light objects"... whatever that may be..???
So... rather than just build a spice rack sized gizmo i went beserk and set off around the entire van just above window level with a 200mm wide shelf..using 7mm cd ply
Image
Image

100 mm Radiused the corners and bends
Will try bending 3mm ply cut into about a 70mm wide strip to form a ledge so the junk dont fall off the shelf. If i cant bend it and nail it around the bends , i will chase up a sheet of bendy ply at Mr Ply and wood.

I have managed to get the frozen window hinge working and have dropped the broken window off at a local glazier to have a new glass cut and fitted... quoted $110... i dont think thats overley expensive .. each tradesman to their own trade.
Should have it back by midweek.

OK .. thats it for now.. i have to go and measure up the shelving for the model railway track i plan on running around the shelves... 8-)
