Traveluxe Caravans.
Re badged Furness Caravans from South Australia.

Information on Furness Caravans can be found HERE

While doing some research on another caravan make the other night I came across this ad from Quality Motors of Broken Hill and their Traveluxe Caravan. With no picture of a van in the ad, I had to try and find one to see what these vans looked like.

Well it didnt take long and I found this ad, and again from Broken Hill. I did wonder how Broken Hill could support a caravan manufacturer, but after seeing this picture I can confirm that the Traveluxe caravan is a re badged Furness caravan from South Australia.

With a little more searching I found this 1950 ad from Motors Limited of Melbourne also with the Traveluxe branded caravan. It is also interesting that the caravans are advertised as Traveluxe up untill abouth 1952-53 after which they were slowly started to be advertised as the "Furness Traveluxe".
