Bendigo Swap Meet.

Post by Richard »

Linda and I have just returned from another Bendigo swap meet. The weather again was very unpredictable, as last year it was about 38 degrees and this year after a full week of fine weather it rained on the Saturday. We arrived at about 5.45 and I was very surprised to find that there was a lot of other very keen lookers, and the rain did not deter them at all. The rain may have even been a good thing as some of the items we purchased were heavily discounted because of the weather. The couple of photos below are from the dirt track oval, there were also a few sections that were a lot muddier than this, mainly around the bottom section near the stables.

Alan (austin125) had organised a feature of Historic Caravans at this years swap, and I must say he did a very good job. Ill post photos of this in the next day or so.

Cheers.

I have not come across Northern Caravans before, and you wouldnt read about it but there were 2 of them at the swap meet. Both of the vans were in good condition on the outside, and very good inside. The last 3 photos are of the second Northern caravan that was for sale.

Top photos,,I worked at the swap ,did car parking in the show & shine from 6am til 8am ,did it for the Deniliquin Collectors Club of which I am a member, good deal this the club gets $10 an hour for each member, you get free entry,a meal ticket & this year a neat little volunteers badge in the shape of a teardrop,,had a good look at all the vans & waded around the swap for the day, caught up with a heap of mates & generally had a good day, bought a neat Willow metal stand for the Skyline.
