This one is almost a copy of the 1st cartoon posted, from Australian Motor Manual, 1 June, 1962.

More a lovely piece of artwork than a cartoon - from the Western Mail (Perth) 7 February, 1935.

Another item from Trove, this one from the Townsville Daily Bulletin, 14-1-1937.

The artist has made the outfit very narrow which would be a great benefit in reality when it comes to driving on those English country roads.

This item is from the Queensland Times, 30 December, 1939, and is using a cartoon in an advertisement for a garage, something I've not run across before. The print isn't clear, but either Dad or the lad is saying, "Come to think of it, we should have bought a CAR first." Bit of a 'MINTIES' moment.

Some time ago I picked up Keith Winser's "Motoring is a funny thing" - a collection of motoring cartoons. Part of the cover is shown below as the very detailed cartoon depicts a couple of caravans. I especially like the one making its get away up the hill in the background.

Inside there is only one caravan orientated cartoon, nicely Australian, by Rigby, again a very detailed drawing.
