Wayfarer Caravans.
497 Burke Road. South Camberwell. Victoria.

It is interesting to note at the very bottom of this 1958 ad that they are "Always Open".
What company these days would have you drop in at any time ?

An advertisement from Motor Manual, 1 June, 1959, similar to the 1958 advert, a slight increase in prices and some model changes, they seem to have given up being at the public's beck and call, no longer being 'Always Open.'

Here are photos of a couple of Wayfarers, all different styles, seen on the way to and at Broken Hill.

First one was at Myrtleford and had a built in shower, year unknown, and is for sale, contact Jack Carnes 0417 410396. I found the shower tank interesting, but don't think I'd like to be lifting it onto its platform when full.

And this one was also at Broken Hill, a 63 Road Liner, which the current owner's father bought new. He says it's the only model Road Liner he has seen with the year on the badge.

And the lovely cast badge I've seen on all of them.

The following two Wayfarer caravan ad were part of a 1965 Glida Caravans brochure. It seems at though Glida were resellers Wayfarer caravans.

Another interesting item is the Wayfarer listed below is available in full aluminium OR aluminium and fibreglass panels that are hard to distinguish from aluminium. (I presume that they are talking about the small diamond pattern aluminium that has been made into fibreglass panels.)

I've recently had occasion to visit the local showground and found this poor old Wayfarer camped there. I was back there yesterday to partake in a Council Parade and while it had been 'moved on' so that the marshalling could take place, it's still there.

It seems to be a different model to any others on the post as it has the Wayfarer badge mounted below the front windows. At least it is being used as intended, and maybe the owner is a Parramatta Eels fan!

Two adverts for the Wayfarer from NRMA Open Road (NSW) 1 October, 1963 and The Royalauto (Vic) January 1964.

The same illustration which seems to match the Wayfarer Road Liner 63 in an above post.
