Linda and I took our FJ ute and Propert to Motorfest, Dad took our 1953 FX and my brother Malcolm and his family took our 1950 FX Taxi.

When Malcolm arrived at Motorfest he got to talking to Warren who's father, John owned a 1951 FX Holden that he used as a Taxi for many years. Warren found his way to where we were parked to give me the photos he had of his dads Taxi.

The 1951 sedan started out life as a normal family car, then around 1952, 53 the FX was converted for service as a Taxi in Sydney. The FX saw service as a Taxi for around 8 years as John would not up date the Old Girl as he considered the newer models to be too heavy and under powered, but in 1961 he was forced to update as the FX was just getting too old.

The following 2 photos are of Warren and his Mother.
