Re: Country Club Caravans.
This Country Club was at Broken Hill recently, and looking at the spare tyre mount it might be the same van from eBay, posted at the start of this post.

Country Club
This Country Club was recently listed on ebay as a 1959 model, which I would say is about right for the vintage. This van would also be the “ 12’ 6” Canberra ” model as it is sporting fibreglass panels front and back, aluminium roof and what looks to be rescote side walls.
Sellers comment.
Here I have a rare 1959 country club caravan it requires restoration. It is made of plywood sides with fibreglass front and rear. It has an aluminium roof it is 12 foot long with 3 foot drawbar. These vans are very rare and seldom seen around. It is basically complete except for front seat cushions and fridge. It has a fold out bed at back which can fold up into a couch and front table folds down to Ito a bed. It is totally original but needs full restoration. Was going to be a project for me but I no longer have the time. Can be towed but recommend tilt tray truck. Tyres are old and it has not been towed for over 20 yrs, also has no lights. Gas stove works, all windows in good condition with no cracks. Van has wood rot in places. Original paint inside and out.

Just for the record, this little snippet from Modern Motor, 15 December, 1955, gives details of the change of address for the company.
