I have two vintage caravan badges/logos off two of the aluminium style Caraparks.
The first one shows Carapark Productions badge which started in 1954.
And the second one shows Carapark Industries badge which commenced in 1962 at Maitland and went into liquidation in 1969.

I was recently contacted by Alex through Facebook, and it just so happens that Alex has a Carapark voyager vintage caravan.
When Alex first purchased his Voyager he couldnt find any info on his van so he has given me permission to use the photos here.

1963 vintage caravan ad for the Carapark Explorer, with the Explorer basically an economy version of the Zestline, or as it was known in 1963 the Astronaut.

A vintage Carapark 16 2 caravan recently advertised for sale.
I have included this caravan as it is unusual to find a Carapark 16 2 that wasn't a commercial caravan, I am not real sure how original the interior is but everything seems to be in the correct place for this style of caravan.

Well another piece of the vintage caravan history of Carapark Caravans has fallen into place. As mentioned previously I have heard that around the mid 1960's Carapark were producing a "budget" version under a different name. Well it has taken a while and I finally can fit the pieces together after finding his 1965 ad for Caracraft Caravans which were built by Carapark Industries Pty Ltd at Maitland, for Carapark Sydney Pty Ltd at Summer Hill.

This item followed on the same page as an earlier posting about Carapark acquiring Gypsy from Motor Manual in July 1961, hence the unusual wording at the start. I never realised that Hayman had become part of the Carapark empire, and now it seems about the only survivor in the present day.
In April, 1962 the following item from Modern Motor gives some details of the split up of the Carapark group, and Hayman is again mentioned.
All parts of the puzzle I guess.

Carapark Hunter Junior.
I have been very fortunate to come across this "barn find" Carapark Hunter Junior, as this would be only the third one that I have come across.
