MORNIN HAPPY CAMPERS ,
THANKS FOR ALL THIS INTERESTING INFO . I HAVE BEEN CHASING A LITTLE'N AT FRENCH'S FORREST HEAR IN SYDNEY FOR A FEW YEARS TO NO AVAIL . BUT THANKS TO ALL THIS NEW INFO , IT LOOKS LIKE THE VAN MIGHT BE A CARAPARK "TWO-LITE" AS IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ONE IN THE ADD "IDEAL FOR BABY CARS" AND THE THE SMALL ONE IN THE LAST COLOURED ADD . SAME OLD, SAME OLD STORY , SITTEN IN A FRONT YARD AND THE OLD BOY WONT LET IT GO .
HOPE IT DOSN'T GO TO THE TIP !

HAPPY TRAILS .
MAURIE .

Hey Maurie.
Yep Iam sure that those amongst us that chase old cars and vans, or anything old for that matter, all have a story to tell about the perfect find that the owner will not part with.
From memory I think the Homemaker was for sale at $10000.00

Cheers.

I was also given this 1951 ad from a Womans Weekly with a photo of a Carapark Superb de Lux and a Hunter Minor. Also shown is a cutaway of a Hunter de Lux.

Here is an interesting snippet from Motor Manual, July 1961 with information that Carapark had acquired Gypsy Caravans so I guess they went down the gurgler with Carapark too. Did the new aluminium Gypsy make it into production beforehand?
