I recently have had an email from Eileen, and Les Gough was here great uncle.

From Eileen.

Hi Richard
My name is Eileen. Les Gough was my great uncle. You have an add by him on your web site. I am doing my family history and was wondering if you would mind sending me a copy.
Yours Sincerely
Eileen

In exchange Eileen has kindly emailed a photo of Les in his younger "racing" days.

A great looking little aluminium Hawthorn caravan recently advertised for sale on the internet.
Les Gough of Hawthorn caravans had been a long time agent for Carapark caravans dating back to at least the late 1940's as this little van
does have a resemblance to a Carapark 10/9. Although I am unsure if this would have been a van made in Newcastle, or in Cessnock after Newcastle closed.
