This list of pre-fab suppliers from Motor Manual, 15 Aug., 1953 is a handy ready reckoner of what seems to have been available at the time for the home handyman. A couple of the names don't appear as a make in the Library so maybe they only supplied kit parts.

I wonder why we don't have these offerings these days from van makers :?:

An advertisement from a Broadbent's Victorian map dating from the mid to late 1950s, showing the front of the Austral Motor Wheel Works premises at Leicester St, Melbourne, and showing they were suppliers of caravan accessories.

Hi George.
Thats funny, I was looking in the area and stumbled across this.
Typical of these great old façades, they've been turned into units by the look of it.
