Another ad for Roven Caravans again from the late 1940's.

It is interesting to note that you could get the NRMA to supervise the building of your caravan, just another service that the NRMA use to provide.

A couple of Roven Caravan ads, with the first one from 1946 and they are enviting people to look at the latest American vans. I would say that they did not import American vans but they were building the latest American style vans.

The 1947 ad below is enviting customers to have a look at a 24' Roven under construction, which would have been a huge van for 1947.

This item from Modern Motor, April 1948 gives detail of the 24 foot Pan American. It is stylish and well equipped and retains the swept rear end of the early model which the article says houses a lift up boot for storage. One would have been the 'bee's knees' hauling this around in 1948 I should think.

Hi George and Jennison.
I found this little 1950 article on the Roven Pan American, that shows a couple of floor plans and how the wardrobe door is used to divide the van into 2 rooms.

A very plain advertisement from Truth newspaper 20-3-1949 shows they had three branches, pretty good I would have thought so soon after the War.

I wonder where their Caravan Park was? First thought was Lansvale but it was a Carapark operation as far as I know, unless they re-developed it in later years.
