Hi Gordon
Yep... just got a phone call from Kaz. She is a really nice chick .. but is copping a hammering from those that see fit to attack her over the title of her advert and part of her description.
I have sent her an ebay message clarifying when it was built.. started build on 5th July 2006 and finished the following year.. so the 2012 is totally wrong as is the 1934 . again .. not Karens fault... just sales info passed on from owner to owner over the years.

I am a bit disappointed in the vintage caravan fraternity for giving the seller such a hard time??... both .. previously on facebook and now on ebay.
.. why do that ??. It does absolutely nothing to promote our hobby .. or the people who enjoy building/rescuing/restoring and using the old vans..or ... building a likeness of one.
All that was needed was a link to the build on the other website and a civilised clarification...

Just having a bit of a chuckle... Poor girl is guilty by association... the dreaded reddo curse :P

Hmmm... bidding is at $1880.... Just wandering if a bloke should throw his hat in the ring and own it... again...... for the third time. ;)

Some individuals cant help them selves Reddo, might be a power thing with some that had their powers removed.

Hope the seller get what she needs, it's always been a class van that one.

Cheers mate :)

A Happy Ending
It turns out my explanation on ebay in " Ask Seller a question" as to the history of the van wasn't enough to stop the spineless morons that hide behind keybopards from continuing their insults to Kaz about the TD.
So.. she ended the listing.
Not long after she received a call from a genuine couple from Melbourne who had their highest bid loaded and ready to fire at the end of the auction.

They offered Kaz that amount ,...which turned out to be very close to the reserve price she had set.
By the time she had finished horse trading some of the other bits she intended to sell separately, she was a couple of hundred above the reserve. 8-)
The TD is heading to VIc ( that's the third state its lived in in the past 8 years or so) . It will get a make over and the couple will be towing it with a 1934 ford hotrod.......on holidays.... to ... Darwin

And so ends another happy fairy tale...
So... Just like to thank the parasites that seen fit to pester Kaz about the TD ancestory.
( Not the ones that told her the wrong build year(s) that can be an honest mistake)
. they can take pride in knowing they helped Kaz achieve a better price than she was aiming for .... Good onyas
Perhaps next time something comes up for sale that is not vintage . The " ëxperts" might take the time and have the decency to explain to the seller in a polite and informed manner just how old the van really is....
"spose its no worse than someone advertising what is considered a vintage ( pre 70s so I am lead to believe ... as opposed to all other vintage vehicles .. i:e: at least 30 years old??) van and proclaiming it is 20 .. 30 .. or more years older than when it was actually made :?

Cheerio
