What a great ad, those were the days, and all for just 10/-, which was probably pretty hard to come by back then too. Before the days of TV, just radios on offer for prizes.

That big Zestline 23 is a joy to behold, for me everything just seems to be in the right proportion.

And what better place than under it to post a few pics of our new toy, an Astronaut 15/5 which again just seems to have the right proportions. It is not original in some respects with a retro look interior begun with black and white lino and while I'm not fond of that treatment it does seem to suit. It won't be carried too far but will probably be continued in time. I'll start a separate post in due course to cover its progress. There is so many questions and too few answers at the moment.

The poor Velox is positively 'underfinned' in the Astronauts company, maybe a Chrysler Royal of Belvedere would look more at home?

I found this photograph of what appears to be a Carapark in a GMH Pointers magazine from September 1950. It appears to have been a display to dispel some of the fears being raised about towing with the new Holden.

The unusual shape of the wheel arch, the badge in the front lower corner and the square windows match two photos posted by Richard on page 4 of this thread so one could assume that van is an early one. I like the wheel arch treatment, pity it changed in my view.

During the 1952 to 54 period there were numerous advertisements for Carapark vans and Ford cars which were offered as part of an Art Union promoted by Jack Davey, a selection to follow.
