Hi vanners

Here's two more adverts for Supalite. I wonder who had the job of thinking up names :?: love Wee-Kenda   Did they actually sell them with it stensilled on :?:

The last advert would seem to be 1956 or early 1957, my original is undated but the final line indicates Supalite were on the move to new premises in Victoria Road, Rozelle for 1957.

Hi Vanners

I wonder if anyone has one of these Supalite Amphibi-vans squirreled away. What a fun thing to have these days :!:  The Holden panel van tow vehicle with side windows would cause just as much excitement for many too I should think ;)
The advert is a bit of a laugh  wonder why you would take it to the snowfields in winter, could you ski with it too :o
This item is from 1961 and the Supalite address is now 258 Victoria Road, Rozelle, NSW.

I'll post the review separately, I can't seen to add more than 3 files at a time

Hi again

The following pages are from the November 1961 Modern Motor magazine reviewing the Supalite Amphibi-van, hope they are of interest :)

A 1956 article on the Supalite "OLYMPIC" that was on display at the Sydney Caravan Show. The Olympic has features such as a lift up annex on the off side, a door on each side of the van and a full roof hatch.
The body of the OLYMPIC looks to be the for runner of the AMPHIBI-VAN as shown above.

I came across this 1953 ad for Maxjoy and thought I had come across a new name in caravan builders. On closer inspection I found that both of the van illustrated are actually Supalite caravans with the Weekenda and Atlas shown.
I find it unusual to have a manufacturer building and selling vans as well as a dealer selling the same vans in Sydney.
