Christmas in July 2017

Post by reddo »

Hi Fellow Vintage vanners

Well here we are.. March 2017.
With all the excitement building around this years Autumn Tour in April we have overlooked the annual OTP
" Christmas in July " Gathering..
So.. with that said ,,,, and only a few months before July .... ... OK....there is 4 months .. a bit more than a few months.
I reckon its about time we thrashed out a venue for the event,

# Last year was Murrurundi and the Park Managers really looked after us... as only the small park operators do. 8-)
# Stockton has a new camp kitchen that is air cond.. could be cosey in winter... but lacks the romance of campfire.
# I would go back to Katoomba in a blink of an eye... but i seriously doubt the "ex-shitter come camp kitchen" has had an upgrade... Bbbbbbbbrrrrrrr

So... its over to you ????...Does the idea of returning to one of the previuos venues appeal to you??.. do you have a Van Park.. or even a Free Camp location that you feel ticks all the boxes for a Christmas in July Hoedown ??

I guess we will go with the majority decision .. so get you votes in now :D

OK beautiful people,
After being swamped by people , at least two or three I have just got of the phone to Carol at Murrurundi Caravan Park 0265466288 to book a site on the weekend of 8th and 9th of July.
I have tentatively booked 10 sites to start with, I think we got 13 last year so lets make it another great get together.
The park is puppy friendly, we can have a fire and the camp kitchen is cosy where I can again make whom ever wants a nice big plate of stew.
The owners Carol and Doug made us more than welcome last year as I am sure they will again.
Pam , Rattcliffe and I will be there from Thursday the 6th until Monday morning the 10th, hope to see you there.

Bugger...
I wont be able to make it..
Just got word from the specialist.... I am booked in for a total knee reconstruction Sunday 18th June.
Out of action for a month or two... :( :( :(
I guess this means i will have to really muck up on the tour... then make a comeback at Smile's Evans Head Getogether in November 8-) 8-)

Cheers

Hi all,

Shaun and I have booked with the Caravan Park. We will be joining you all for the Friday and Saturday nights. Not sure about The teenagers ATM. We'll see and make a decision closer to the time.

We're not sure which van we'll be brining along. The Sunliner may make it's debut ???

See you all soon.

Monica and Shaun :)
