The attached is a really interesting social comment on caravanning from 1938, published in Smith's Weekly on 24 December, 1938. Here's another one from Newcastle area, home made with a bit of wind resistance to be sure. Featured in the Newcastle Morning Herald etc., 29 November, 1938. A note refers to an article but I couldn't find reference to the van, there was a large article about the Masonite factory, possibly the mater...

This is a ripper commercial van, pity it never survived.
